Will You Join Me?

Hello there.  Someday I will get back to blogging and even update some of the things that have been going on the last few months.  But, for now, I have a suggestion/request.

I have a birthday coming up.  On Tuesday, the 14th.  And, it's one of those big numbers that people like to make a big deal of.  I have decided that on that day, I would like to do forty (arbitrary completely random number, obviously) acts of kindness.  Would you help me celebrate?  Do one act of kindness for someone (not me) as your birthday present to me. Then comment on this post, or on my facebook wall so that you can help me reach my goal of 40 acts of kindness.  I have so much to be grateful for, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate my special day than making someone else's day more happy.

Thank you!!!  :)

  1. As my act of kindness, I picked up a couple gallons of milk for our engineering team. They have cereal in the break room and no one ever remembers to bring milk. Happy Birthday!

  2. Dad helped a young mother who was struggling with two little ones and trying to find money to buy paint. He helped pay for it.
I took cookies to the missionaries at the visitor's center.

We also took Emily to dinner, which isn't exactly random, since it happens occasionally, but she was alone tonight, so it was an act of kindness. :-)

  3. Dad helped a woman lift a heavy item into her trunk and helped a young mother pay for her paint, because she was dealing with two young children and couldn't find all of her money.

  4. My act of kindness was to spend 3 hours helping a woman from church sew a quilt she is trying to get done by tomorrow for her niece with cancer.
